What is the Purchase Pixel?

The purchase pixel is a snippet of code that works with the Northbeam Pixel and allows us to track Purchase conversion events that happen on your website checkout.

We offer two types of purchase scripts:

Order Status Page - for Shopify checkout
firePurchaseEvent - for all other checkouts

How do I add the Purchase Pixel to my website?

Shopify

The “Order Status Page” script is what we provide for Shopify brands. This is to be placed in the “Order Status Page” section within your Checkout settings in your Shopify admin panel.

In the Onboarding Flow, find the script under the Pixel Placement step. After selecting and connecting your platform, find it under Order Status Page
In your Northbeam dashboard, find it under Settings > Tracking Script Tags > Northbeam Pixel

Recharge

The recent version(s) of Recharge normally utilize Shopify’s native checkout, so there isn’t any further action needed here. The Northbeam Order Status Page script usually tracks those checkouts.

Other Shopify Checkouts

If you use any 3rd party checkout that is independent from Shopify’s native checkout, you’ll need to implement our firePurchaseEvent script on the order confirmation or thank you page at checkout.

WooCommerce

Northbeam's WooCommerce plugin auto-injects the firePurchaseEvent to your site. Once the plugin is installed, no further action is needed.

Magento

Northbeam's Magento plugin auto-injects the firePurchaseEvent Script to your site. Once the plugin is installed, no further action is needed.

All Other Platforms / Custom Setups

You’ll need to implement our firePurchaseEvent script on the order confirmation or thank you page at checkout.
