Why are my Meta reported platform metrics different on Northbeam?

You are able to use two business managers in Meta to view data that is also viewable in Northbeam.

There are two types of business managers that work in different ways therefore have different reasons for displaying data that is different from what users see in Northbeam. Ultimately, data displays are different for one of three reasons: timing, report filters applied, for data privacy.

In this article, we’ll outline what the two business managers are and what data they have access to and why there may be a discrepancy in data for both manager settings.

Commerce managers can view activity from Facebook Shops and Instagram Shops

The commerce manager is updated based on the order timing. Therefore, if Northbeam and Meta receive the order signal at different times, this will create a temporary discrepancy between the values being displayed in Meta and Northbeam

Ads managers can view activity about the ad accounts

The Ads manager is updated asynchronously and does not display data to users where there is the possibility that individual customers may be identified. Therefore, if Northbeam updates a different time from Ads Manager, this will create a temporary discrepancy between the values being displayed in Meta and Northbeam.

Additionally, customers may not see data in Ads Manager for campaigns with low activity so that customers cannot be identified.
