Follow these 5 tracking principles to master order tracking with Northbeam.
In order to properly track and attribute your orders, Northbeam requires the below:
- Pixels (Northbeam Pixel and Purchase Pixel),
- “A” Record in the DNS
- UTM parameters (see UTM guide)
Follow these 5 tracking principles:
- Landing page is on the domain connected to your dashboard*
- Landing page has the Northbeam Pixel* placed
- Checkout page is on the domain connected to your dashboard
- Checkout page has a Purchase Pixel
- UTM parameters are in use on all active ads
*The exception is Whitelisted Ads
Tracking ads from Northbeam integrations
- To see a list of Northbeam integrations via the Onboarding Flow, select Integrations on the left panel:
- To see a list of Northbeam integrations via your Northbeam dashboard, navigate to Settings and click Connections under Onboarding Tasks:
Reference the 5 tracking principles to effectively track from these platforms.
Also, ensure the following:
- The correct ad account is connected without any errors
- “NB” parameters are on all active ads (found on UTM guide)
Tracking ads from a non-native integrations
If you use a platform without a Northbeam integration, we can track click performance. Reference the 5 tracking principles to effectively track from these platforms.
Also, ensure the following:
- Standard UTM parameters are applied on all active ads (ex. source, medium, campaign, term, and/or content). See UTM guide under “UTMs for Non-Integrated Platforms”
